Dollar Frugal

Things have not just been hectic lately, they’ve been insane.  Here’s my next ten in the blogroll for this fantastic Wednesday:

1.  Ramit had another guest post from Todd Doer (www.taxmakeover.com) at I Will Teach You to Be Rich about Newlywed Money.

2.  Julie at I’m a Saver had a post about an older lady with a UPS indulgence problem.  Do you want to have a mortgage when you’re sixty?

3.  Dawn at Iowa Hippie Chick talked about having a healthier lifestyle.  I should take advantage of my age to be more healthy, but sometimes it seems that between work, school and travel, I don’t have the time.  What a horrible excuse.  I ate only fruit at the breakfast buffet this morning, so I did well.

4.  At I’ve Paid for This Twice Already, there is an article about Cheap vs. Good.  I have the same problem; this is why I shop for DS when possible at Goodwill - he tears up his clothes anyway!

5.  Harrison put up an interesting article about Online Video Money-Making at Finandom.  I need to fire up the old DVD camcorder.  Now, to find the time…

6.  Just Squeaking By asked what to do with old credit cards that aren’t being used anymore.  I’m sure you could destroy them in many ways, but would you cancel the accounts or what?  I closed all my accounts, but if your credit score isn’t too good, I’d be cautious!

7.  Chicky at Kiss of Debt is celebrating because her credit card debt is under 3K!  These types of postings make me smile and deserve even more encouragement!

8.  Lilo at Last in Line is talking about her detox diet and how she dialed international numbers by accident.  I’ve got blocks on my phones so that we don’t dial by accident.  This is a good idea in case your child or someone else gets a hold of your phone!

9.  Lazy Man told about his perception of social capital.  I use networking sites to keep track of all my friends as they scatter to the winds.  Then, when/if I’m in town, it’s so much easier to contact them….Facebook has their phone numbers, etc., so I know I can get a hold of them.

10.  RacerX has an excellent article at Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Money about how to save 50% when you dine out.  Excellent tips to save your money.
