Link-tastic - E and F from the Blogroll

13th February 2008

This has been an extremely busy week for Dollar Frugal.  Not busy as far as blog traffic (it’s been slow), but a lot of work has been happening behind the scenes.  I still can’t schedule posts…I schedule them for 5 each morning, but when I log on at 5:30, they’re not visible on my site.  My Wordpress dashboard shows them as scheduled up until the time I set (edit timestamp, publish, all that according to the rules), but they’re simply not showing on the main page.  The feed publishes, at least, but that doesn’t really help me.  Any ideas?

Here are your articles from the blogroll:

The Happy Rock has been busy with grad school work, so he graciously accepted an article from me as a guest post at Tips For Inexpensive Workouts.

Frugal Dollar has an excellent article about how cheap parents can be.  I think this is a good lesson for kids in perseverence.

It’s amazing how much the Frugal Bachelor and my values match up.  Have a look at some things he thinks should be more expensive.

An article at Free Money Finance talks about how Dave Ramsey doesn’t think you should take out a mortgage unless you can afford the 15 year mortgage.  Good point.

Being a list junkie, Fire Finance’s guest post of 15 Financial Failings that Will Prevent an Early Retirement caught my attention!

The prize for the most interesting post of the whole week goes to Frugal Journey.  I linked out from her interview with an Israeli mother to the Israeli mother’s site and ended up glued to her site for about an hour.

Father Sez’s goat farm is going to be sooo much fun!  I’m so excited to read about it as it progresses….

Everybody Loves Coupons had some interesting Rice Krispie treats.  This is how almost all of my new recipes turn out!

Again, because I’m a list junkie, Jacob’s 25 Money Saving Tips at Early Retirement Extreme held my rapt attention.

Festivals and Carnivals were busy too this week:

- The Carnival of Debt Reduction over at DebtFREE-Revolution.

- The Carnival of 20-Something Finances over at HWFL.

- The Festival of Frugality over at Lazy Man and Money. - The Carnival of Money Stories over at Mrs. Micah.

- The Carnival of Personal Finance over at My Dollar Plan.

I found your site on technorati and read a few of your other posts. Keep up the good work. I just added your RSS feed to my Google News Reader. Looking forward to reading more from you.

    Hi DF,

Hope your WP problems get sorted out all right. I miss your old WP theme, the one with the black flowery design.

And thanks for the kind mention.

    Cheers

    Your comment made my day.

Hah! Thanks for the mention and for calling my Rice Krispie Treats “interesting.” I certainly would’ve used a very different word like “scary.” :)

@Tim - Thanks so much for reading and subscribing! All the little changes that we can all teach each other through our blogs will make the world a better place…I’m reviewing your blog for addition to the crazy blogroll!

@Fathersez - I miss the MT theme that I had, too. I’m thinking that I should be able to sked posts in Wordpress, but I think I need techie assistance, since I’m doing EVERYTHING according to the directions. I guess patience is a virtue…and of course I would link to you!

@Mother - your articles introduced me to a new culture, which is priceless. Thank you so much.

@Andrew - They were interesting! Seriously, if you can’t laugh at yourself, you’re missing the funniest part, right? I bet they’ll be perfect next time!
